Believe, Achieve, Succeed!

Hi there! Happy Monday on a Tuesday! We have a meeting tonight, so I will make this short and sweet.

Thanks for returning all those weekly reports. I loved all the comments on them and in the planners. I am HUGE on open communication with parents (as you probably have figured out:0)). Saying that, please, please know that this is just me. If you are not comfortable with doing all the communication pieces please do what you can or want to do. I am reading that you LOVE the blog and that you don't particularly like the blog. So, there are both sides. My feeling is that I do for your kiddo what I would want for my own. I would LOVE a blog for my kids each day. Unfortunately they don't, and I rarely know what is going on in my kid's school unless I go searching for it. So, I do one, and I do it daily. There is no way to make every parent happy. I do know that. Therefore, I just do what I feel is in the best interest of your child. Again, please do what you feel comfortable with. The only one I absolutely require is the Tuesday folder.

We worked on expanded form today in class. Some got it right away, some struggled. So, for our bonus code word discussion question tonight I would love it if your child would change the number 345,526,201 into expanded form. If they do, it should end up as 300,000,000+40,000,000+5,000,000+500,000+20,000+6,000+200+0+1. If they can get that or are able to work through it with you write the word SLINKY in the planner for $10 tomorrow. If they have trouble, maybe work another one or two. We will work on it all week. Thanks!

A HUGE thank you to Max's mom for coming to stuff those Tuesday folders!!! They came home today. The two white sheets (D2 App permission and My sheet asking for volunteers) need to come back tomorrow inside the Tuesday folder. The other stuff stays home for your information.

Tomorrow we have music. Mrs. Wadell informed the kiddos that in 4th grade they NO LONGER need to wear their tennis shoes to class. So, flip flops are a go for tomorrow. :0)

Thanks for all those water bottles! They are drinking, drinking, drinking them! Yay!

Homework tonight is to complete two bucket fillers and finish their Treaty of Paris Comprehension sheet if they didn't finish it in class. Daily, we read about an event that happened on that day's date in history. These sheets have proven to help kids go back into the reading and find the answers instead of guessing. Normally, we would have math homework but we have not learned enough yet. Soon! Kids also need to study their spelling words nightly. They are on the blog so kids don't have to bring lug home their books, but they sure could if they need to. They do need it to come back each day for classwork however.

Have a great, great night!
