Happy Hump Day!

Tomorrow is the author visit. Mr. Merical will be joining our class tomorrow morning at 10:45 to talk to the kids about The Journey of Fallen Rock. We saved the last chapter so he could read it aloud to us. Please feel free to join us if you want to. Kids may bring home their books to read with you again after on Thursday after we finish reading it. Homework tonight is to come up with 5 really good I am wondering questions to ask Mr. Merical if they get the chance to tomorrow.  I would also like to encourage kids to go to the Fallen Rock website that can be found off to the right. They need to look at the pictures he has posted on there, like the Grand Canyon and other fun things. If they do this, write ROCK in the planner for another $10.

School store starts this Friday. Kids may bring money to shop for fun school supplies if they wish.

Thank you for sending in the box tops. Please continue to do so. A HUGE thank you to Chase's mom for helping to keep those organized.

We talked about singular and plural nouns today in class. If your child can tell you the difference write NOUN in the planner for $10 tomorrow. They should tell you that singular means one person, place or thing and plural means two or more people, places, or things.

We have enjoyed having fun making, reading, and writing decimals for the tenths and hundredths place values. We have also learned to turn those into fractions. We will continue to work on this throughout the week and kids will then show mastery of all components including rounding, adding, subtracting, and comparing decimals. Man, are they really 4th graders or what?
