Hi there. We had another busy day!
Homework tonight is a reading comprehension sheet on Beaver Dams. Kids can add to their inquiry question list from this if something sparks a question tonight. Some kids also have spelling to finish.
We had a guest speaker today brought in by Mrs. Auch. It was all on electricity and being safe with it. Have kids show you how to get out of car that might have a live wire on or around it. They should jump out with two feet and arms by their sides or crossed over their chest. Then they should show you to take little hops about 30 times. This helps keep them safe an not be an easy conductor target. It is very important that they don't touch the car and the ground at the same time. Not as easy as it sounds. If they can show you, write the word ELECTRICITY in the planner for $10.
For another $10, try to solve this Lead 21 question together with your child. Which of these animals are the largest carnivores on the planet: Polar Bear, Grizzly Bear, Steller Sea Lion, South Atlantic elephant seal, or the walrus? Feel free to google that one. :0)
Tuesday folders came home again today, so they are Wednesday folders today. :0) I forgot to check my mailbox yesterday, so this was not included. Sorry. :0( But, now you have it today. Reminder: Memories with moms is on FRIDAY this week.
Well, that about covers it for today. We are all wishing Miss. Abi a speedy recovery from her injury, and we hope to see her back tomorrow. We also wish Max happy thoughts and that he is feeling better tomorrow as well. Class is just not the same without everyone present. :0)
Have a wonderful evening.
Ms. Erickson
